Status Descriptions

Each trademark record goes through different statuses in its lifecycle. Below is a description of each status available in the module:

Preparation

This is the initial phase where all required documentation and information for trademark submission are gathered. No formal submission has occurred yet.

Application Submitted

The trademark application has been officially submitted to the relevant authority. At this stage, it is awaiting acknowledgment.

Application Paid

The payment for the trademark application has been completed. This ensures that the application is processed further by the authority.

Opposition Submitted

An opposition has been submitted against the trademark application. This typically occurs when another entity challenges the application, and the matter must be resolved.

Paid Publication

The trademark has been successfully published in an official publication (e.g., a government gazette) after payment. This makes the trademark publicly visible for scrutiny or opposition.

Term of Opposition

The designated time frame during which others can submit oppositions to the trademark application. Once this period lapses, the trademark proceeds to registration if no valid oppositions are received.

Registration

The trademark has been officially registered and is now protected under applicable laws. This marks the completion of the trademark application process.

Expiring

The trademark is approaching its expiration date. Renewal actions may need to be initiated to maintain its validity.

Expired

The trademark has passed its expiration date and is no longer valid. Renewal may still be possible depending on the rules of the jurisdiction.
