User Roles & Access

ProFlow Batch Management uses robust Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to ensure that only authorized users can perform specific actions, providing security and compliance across all workflows. This feature safeguards sensitive data and prevents unauthorized changes to batch records.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

The system enforces strict access control by assigning permissions based on predefined roles. Each role corresponds to specific responsibilities, ensuring that actions such as reviewing, approving, and signing batch records are limited to qualified personnel only.

User Roles & Access Overview

Key User Roles

The following roles are available within ProFlow, with each designed to match the needs of specific responsibilities in batch management:

  • Production Operators: Responsible for generating batch records directly from manufacturing equipment.
  • QA/Quality Leads: Review and approve batch documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Supervisors & Managers: Oversee compliance workflows and manage approval processes.
  • Administrators: Configure the system and manage user access to maintain security and operational integrity.

Role-based security ensures that only authorized personnel can access and interact with critical system features, preventing unauthorized changes while maintaining operational transparency and accountability.

Benefits of Role-Based Security

The RBAC system provides the following key benefits:

  • Enhanced Security: Protects sensitive data by restricting access to authorized users.
  • Operational Integrity: Ensures that only qualified personnel can perform critical actions.
  • Audit Readiness: Tracks actions performed by specific roles for seamless traceability during audits.
  • Scalability: Adapts to organizational changes by allowing custom role definitions and permissions.
