Settings and Configurations

This page provides an overview of the key settings and configurations available in the Remote Work Requests module. It covers how to manage different restrictions, limits, and options to fit your organizational policies. As new features are introduced, they will be documented here to keep you informed and up to date.

Home Office Monthly Limit Restriction

Description: This setting ensures that employees do not exceed a predefined number of working days per month for home office. By enabling and configuring this option in the Positions module, you can control how many days employees in specific positions can work from home within a single calendar month.

Module: Positions → Home Office Settings

Fields:

  • Home office monthly limited: A checkbox that, when activated, enforces a monthly home office limit.
  • Home office monthly days limit: The maximum number of working days (per month) allowed for home office once the above checkbox is active.

How It Works:
Once the limit is enabled and set, the system automatically calculates the working days for any home office request. If a request spans multiple months, each month is calculated separately. The system adds the days of the new request to any existing (pending or approved) home office days for that same month and compares the total against the configured limit:

  • If the total remains at or below the limit, the request is approved.
  • If the total exceeds the limit, the request is rejected with a clear error message that shows the specific month, the allowed days, the days already used, the new days requested, and the total that surpasses the limit.
